Hi everyone

Just to let you know, some of the fees collected to date from those attending are being put to some use to provide some wine and nibbles to celebrate our last event before Christmas, so come on the train and leave the car at home! (Soft drinks also provided.....!) Now if thats not an incentive I don't know what is....

Look forward to seeing you there!

Hello
Thanks for your interest in the Leeds meetings. We meet every 6 - 8 weeks in central Leeds, but the meetings are open to any ICB members in Yorkshire or the Humber - (we are recruiting for people to run meetings elsewhere). Normally we get around 10 - 20 people, some students, some employed bookkeepers, some in practice, all levels of experience and qualifications. Generally there are 2 or 3 new people each time, and about half the group attend regularly with others dipping in and out. We normally have someone speakig on a given topic for an hour or so, plus Q&A and general net working. I think its really valuable as a way of meeting others who understand the issues and problems we face as bookkeepers, as well as being quite good fun and educational! People are quite chatty and very friendly - it shouldn't be a scary experience! Friendships and new clients/ working alliances have all been made since the group began, as well as a wealth of shared experience so its worth coming to see what's what!

It would be lovely to see you there if you can make it, we can maybe try and hook you up with others working near you or in a similar position. You are welcome to email me via my website if yo have any specific queries.

Hi Alex

Nice Idea about the wine.  I will need to see if the Glasgow Branch can fit that in the new year to celebrate the start of 2013 .   Have a lovely time.

Bribery? Surely it's the sparkling wit and repartee that everyone comes for? The Liebfraumilch is already cooling though, just in case.....
