Failed Leve lIII Diploma in Payroll

Hello all,

well I have just found out I failed this exam. I was pretty shocked as I achieved 95-100% in all of the course assignements, and yet achieved just 70% in the exam. Gutted and confidence knocked!

I have a couple fo questions:

1. Does the ICB send feedback/corrected paper or is that it? I really do not know where I went wrong. Something fundamental.

2. To re-sit I presume I just order a new exam paper?

Regards

Hi Paul

Sorry to hear you failed.

The ICB will only send you feedback if you request it, it comes at a cost of £25. It can be well worth it though to see where you went wrong.

To resit, yes you would have to buy another exam.

Good luck next time.

Hi Paul

I recently failed my Level III Self Assessment Exam achieving 80%. I decided to pay for a copy of the examiners report and I am glad I did as it has restored my confidence in my own ability to pass the exam next time and helped me to prepare for my resit. I achieved 94% in a mock examination prior to taking the exam.

Keep going I am sure that you will pass next time given your mock exam results.

Kind Regards
John

Hi

I have just sent my Level 3 payroll to be marked, I am glad to know that you can get feedback.  Fingers crossed it's ok, although I do have concerns about a few things.

Hi all,

thanks for the supportive replies.

I re-took this exam and I have just had a look at my results. I've gone from 70% (Fail) to 95% (Distinction) so I am pleased!

The examiner's report of my first attempt was very useful and reading it I realised that I had not printed out the correct reports which was silly of me, but hey-ho live and learn.

Anyway, confidence restored.

Paul
