I need ideas!

Hello everyone!

There's a branch meeting in Derbyshire next week, and I'm interested in your thoughts on what you'd like on the agenda. We've got a lady coming from HMRC to talk about RTI, but we have another hour or so after that. Would you like:

1. Another speaker - either a group member talking about an area they have experience of, or someone external (for example, Debbie Inglis has said she'd be happy to come again). I'm aware that this might constitute speaker-overkill, running the risk of people nodding off.

2. A hot-seat session where we brainstorm an issue that a group member is currently having, and try to help them resolve it. If you've got something you'd like the group to help with, just shout!

3. Something less formal - just general networking and tea-drinking.

4. Something else - I'm open to suggestions.

Any ideas are welcome - just reply on here or email kate@stensonoffice.co.uk.

Thanks!

Hello Kate

Where in Derbyshire are you holding this meeting?  I am quite new to setting up a bookkeeping practice and would value any help and advice from others living in the area.  I live in Worksop, North Nottinghamshire.

Best wishes,

Rachelle

Hi Rachelle

The meeting is at the Nags Head in Mickleover, about 3 or 4 miles from Derby city centre. It would be great to see you, although having driven to and from Worksop recently I appreciate it's quite a trek!

Thanks for your reply, Kate.  Yes, that is quite a trek.  I don't think I would be able to make it this time.

However, I would be interested to know any other way there is to meet up with other bookkeepers in my area who are new to starting their own practice and also to meet with those who have experience and can offer help and support.

Thanks again,

Rachelle
