Taxable Pay Tables 2012

Hi, i'm currently studying the Payroll module with Ideal Schools but have got a bit stuck and wondered if anyone could help me?

I need to use the taxable pay tables for April 2012 but when searching for them on the HMRC website all I can find is 2011 or 2013. Even on the table that says to use these tables for 2012/13 it just gives the tables for April 2013 on. Does anyone have any idea where I can find them or have a copy they could email me?

I will email my tutor but I would really like to be able to continue studying over the weekend and they won't get back to me until next week.

Thanks
Angela

Thanks for looking Rachel.

I probably didn't explain myself very well. I need the tables for tax year 2012/13 so should say April 2012 on them.
I can't find these anywhere. All I can find are the ones for 2013/14 (April 2013) and the ones you have linked for 2011/12 (April 2011).

I'm really stuck!

Ha, just called HMRC, they don't have a clue either! They said use the previous years. But these obviously give all the wrong answers!!

I see what you mean now, HMRC have labelled them wrong. What a nightmare, I expect someone who is doing the course will answer you soon. Good luck

This forum is another one I use all the time and people generally answer your questions quite quickly and it is practicing members as well as students on here so there is probably more chance of someone having a solution for you.

Hi Angela,

If you logon to www.hmrc.gov.uk

then select Employers - PAYE/NIC Rates
this will come up with the rates for 2013-14
but if you scroll down to the end of that page there is a link to Rates for 2012-13.

It states this in the second sentence of the page for 2013-14!
Yes, I know when you are looking for something and getting stressed you miss it and someone else always sees it!
Good luck with your payroll.

Thanks Rachel and thanks Marilyn but I am not looking for rates and thresholds.
It is the Taxable Pay Tables B-D for manual payroll that I need. They are not anywhere to be found.
Even the people at HMRC couldn't find them, didn't know why they weren't there and directed me to use a previous years! Helpful.

Hi Angela,

Right, if you logon to: www.hmrc.gov.uk/paye/forms-publications.htm

Then scroll down to:Tables for calculating PAYE Tax & NI
Select second choice - Manual Method    (in the column on the right it will say for Tax Year 06 April 2012 to 05 April 2013.

This will give you the rates you are looking for.

Hi Angela,

I see what you mean about not giving the correct dates for the tables. Although the link that Marilyn gave you in the previous post states that teh tables are for 6 April 2012 to 5 April 2013, when you click on the link, the publication itself states that it is April 2013 and to use from 6 April 2013.

I have done a bit of searching for you and teh following link should give you the Taxable Pay Tables for April 2012.

Karen, you are amazing! Thank you so much, how did you find it?

Yes, you are right about Marilyns latest link, this is what I was trying to describe in my opening post.

Thank you everyone for all your help, I really appreciate it. Now I can continue with my studies.

You're welcome. I am just so used to searching for things on the internet. The actual HMRC website doesn't have the tables on its website as you found out. So it was the case of trying to find another website that may have an archived link.

Now you can continue with your studying. Wink
