Hi there,

Is anyone in this general area interested in meeting up and forming a local discussion group?  I would like to find local partners with whom I can refer clients that I can't fit in, or who can offer things that I cannot.

I think that this might also help newbies to have somewhere to ask informal questions, get help with studies &c.

Also new Practice Licensees could test out and refine their client pitches.

What do you think?

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the chat and the ideas. 

The plan, then, is to form a new branch in this corner of London. 

So it's down to who would like to join it.  Anyone interested should email me - chris@MODERNbookkeeping.co.uk - and we'll get it started.  We'll decide the exact location once we know where the attendees are travelling in from so we can make it reasonably central and compact.  My location, for starters, is Erith/Dartford/Bexley.

Hi Chris,

I am from the medway area, and have clients near you (Crayford) so would be interested in meeting up (I will drop you an email). I did try getting a group going in Kent last year, and although there were quite a few attendees, I found many people willing to complain about the venue, and not many people willing to help by speaking/suggesting speakers, and as a very new bookkeeper with very few contacts, I must admit I gave up after a few attempts, but would be more than willing to help out anyone else who wanted to start a group!
