I have just completed the RTI with Sage 50 Payroll Examination, and I am awaiting for the results.  I just wondered if any other students and members have done the course,  and how they have found it.

Hi Chris,

I am on the course at the moment and I have found it quite easy. Tell me when you do the exam do you need to print off the reports or do you send them electronically?

Kind Regards

Hi just thinking ahead slightly as I know I want to do payroll straight after I complete level 2 computerised. Howmdo, you actually study for this exam? I've been self studying up until now and don't want to pay a provider to do the payroll diploma but I can't see any books in the shop for payroll.

How should I go about this?  I will need to buy some software I guess too.

Many thanks

carol

“hi you pay for the course (£99) and with it you get a link to a web site to print/work from along with a study version of sage payroll, you then have to pay for the exam (£46 I think) but not sure if the exam is live on the web site to do at home or in a centre-not got that far yet!”

Sorry am I being dumb! When you say you pay for the course, what do you mean? Who do you pay? The only course I e seen is with ideal schools for 499.00. Do you mean the software? Sorry for all the questions!

Hi All,

Am I right in thinkng that the RTI course and exam only relates to the short theory styled online exam and not the main Payroll qualification, although it is necessary to complete this to gain the Payroll Management qualification?

kind regards

Hi

I had no previous payroll experience and reacently passed my payroll exam(91%) self studying using:

Sage Instant Payroll V13 Self Study Course

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1906048568/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This includes 180 day software, workbooks covering manual and computerised payroll. The HMRC web site filled in any gaps.
