SAGE 50 PAYROLL - RTI EDITION

Hi,

Apologies if my questions have been raised, previously.

Prior to starting my first assignment, i created a Backup 2013/14 -Setup version saved on my usb pen. Now i need to do a stand alone exercise in assignment 4 clearing all data to date then restoring all thereafter , i have found that i can not gain access to the Setup version...the following message was given ie Adobe Reader could not open because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

Please could you advise whether i'm saving the backup format incorrectly. It is possible to re-create a new set up version to save on my usb pen ?.

Also am i correct in assuming to temporaily clear any data , i can use the task option to clear historical data , then can restore fully thereafter.

Kind regards

R

hi Sharon,

too be honest i'm not sure what's going on! Rolling back seems ok  ie via sage itself. I've checked the set up version saved on my usb is pen which shows open with internet explorer. I have tried to reload the software on my other pc , then tried using the saved set up version where this message shows eg unable to open with adobe etc.

Is it possible to re-set completely back to the beginning in order to create a new back up for 2013/14 ? Also please could you advise how to temporarily clear the data to date on sage  then restore thereafter.

thank you so much for taking the time to repond.

regards

one of the exercises is to clear all the data to date temporarily then restore, prior to moving on to the stand alone assisgnent 4.

i'm also hoping if this can be done then i can re-create a new back up / set up 2013/14 version to save, eventually i suppose can use this for the exam

Really appreciate you looking into this, thanks  Sharon.
