Hi All,

This is a quick reminder that the Surrey Branch meeting is taking place this Wednesday! This will be a fantastic meeting to attend, so book your place here.

Peter Hamilton, guest speaker from Accountax Chartered Accountants is a knowledgeable speaker, and he will be discussing fees and TB's - one fair and one free. Karen Jewell, the amazing Surrey Branch chair, will then be discussing sole trader accounts and tax returns. 

This is a great opportunity to meet other local members and students.

Hi Jess

I go to the Berkshire ICB but for some reason get emails to the Surrey ICB meetings.  I have never been to one nor as far as I know registered for any emails from Surrey ICB.  I did try emailing once to request they get cancelled but got no response.  Is there a way of stopping them.

Hi Liz,

Unfortunately, the emails are sent out by catchment area. Therefore we are unable to remove you from the mailing list for the Surrey ICB branch meeting invitations.  Removing you from the list may create removal of other members who also live within your catchment area. 

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. 

Both the Berkshire and the Surrey Branch Meetings are very exciting, so perhaps you could attend both which will increase your opportunity in meeting many other local ICB members.

Hi Jess

Thanks for update.  I would love to know how the catchments are sorted out though.  As a Berkshire member coming under Thames Valley  & South I would have thought my catchment area would have meant I would have received emails for meetings in Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire which all come under TV & S. 

Instead I receive emails for Surrey which comes under London & South East.  Distance wise the other TV & S branches are just as near as the Surrey branch and easier to get to.

In these modern times and with the new website i would have thought that we should be able to tick a box against each branch that we may be interested in and receive emails for those.

Maybe a suggestion for future upgrades. :-)
