Sage Payroll - Employers NI Relief

Afternoon All,

I dont use Sage Payroll myself, but I have a client that does and has asked me how to process this. Any ideas?

I have had a look through the software, but can't see anything a la Quickbooks to indicate you are applying for the relief. The EPS function has no changes that I can see on Sage. So what to do?

Anyone that can give me a clue, I will send an Easter Egg to you!!

Thanks

Hi Jason,

I use Moneysoft and that automatically came up with a checkbox when I started the new year. I would have assumed Sage would also do this, but if not their website explains how to do it for each version. I think you have to go into Company, Settings, Details, but I wouldn't know for sure as I don't use it. You might have to send that Easter egg to google!

Hi Jason,

Select 'company' then 'settings' then 'details' - in the bottom right hand corner is a section called 'eligible for employment allowance' - ensure this box is ticked.

Then send an EPS to HMRC. This lets them know you are claiming EA.

Never mind the easter egg - chocolate gives me a headache!!!!

Thanks Marilyn. This is on Instant Payroll so I didn't have those options, but I have found it nevertheless.

I am not quite sure what Sage is doing in the background though. The Allowance now shows on the P32, but not for the full amount or ER NI due.

No matter, that is a separate problem!

Thanks
