I've found Kaplan a tad dry :-) so currently using David Cox's Business accounts but have been recommended Frank Woods Business Accounting 1

I use Frank Woods Business Accounting 1 - a fantastic book with lots of practice questions and answers. Very cheap to buy second hand on Amazon.
