Accounts software for a small shop

The shop is currently trading as a sole trader and using a spreadsheet to do the accounts.  The accountant has now said that they need to change to a limited company.   At present the accounts are done once a week by a third party so the shop staff only work the till for each sale.  What software would you recommend to move onto?  The owner will become a director and there is 1 other employee, neither of them are accounts minded and many of the transactions are < £10 and paid for in cash.

Hi Jen, why have they been advised to change to a limited company? What kind of things does the shop sell? Is it food stuffs? Jo

Their turnover has increased a lot, they have moved into bigger premises so I think it is just because of general business growing.  It's a locksmith.

There are a number of different options for this business but please remember that without the necessary qualifications you will not be able to act for the client, however I may be able to give you some support if you want to get in touch via email
