I have a client who bought a franchise several years ago with his wife as a partner. He tried to sell the franchise but was unable to so he gave up the business wihout selling the franchise. In the final accounts for the business I will post this as a loss. What I would like to know is if this can be put as a loss in the partenrship return for the business. Thanks
