Hi all,

just about to sit level 2 manual and was wondering if I should be concerned about rounding up/down on depreciation and Vat.
I've read that to round down on vat if required to the nearest penny but what about depreciation?
any help would be great right now, getting nervous

HI Kelly

For depreciation i suggest you use the normal 5/4 rounding rules.

Kind regards

Hi, Kelly
The 5/4 rule is simple. I know when your going to see this you will say i knew that Laughing. If its a 5 or more at the end after the decimal round it up.... if its a 4 or less round it down.
e.g   1.534 will be 1.53            1.532 will be 1.53
        1.535 will be 1.54            1.537 will be 1.54
Simple I told you Smile .

It was quite straightforward, all the figures were whole numbers, I don't think any of the answers had any odd pennies.

Try not to overthink the questions too much, I got 2 wrong because I changed my mind.

Hi Kelly,

Yes like you say I passed so I can now move onto level 2 computerised so I am thrilled, its just a little niggle that I got 91% in my mock haven't had the score yet but it is still early Smile

The test centre was fully airconditioned which I was pleased about considering the weather yesterday but I was sat in the middle of the row with all these computer terminals and they are the old fashioned screen so quite big which makes them very close to you and not leaving much room on the desk.

It would have been better if I could have had the side room, dont want much do ISmile

But the problem I had was they gave me a calculator which was one of these long technical one with all the formula keys and the keys were so small too, I got through a few question but could use this calculator there was no percent key and i kept hitting the other keys.  I had to put may hand up and ask for another calculator so lost abit of time whislt she went to find another one.  I then had to go back and recalculte my answers good job I did as there were errors.

So my advice would be make sure you are confortable with the calculator they provide you with and if not get it changed before you start the exam.

Good luck with your exam

Michelle
