A new branch has been set up in Derbyshire and the inaugural meeting will be held on:

Branch meetings are organised by members for members and are an opportunity to network with other bookkeepers, in a relaxed and informal environment.

Really looking forward to the inaugural meeting on September 6th - it's my first meeting as chair, so I'm hoping for lots of friendly faces for moral support!

We have Tony Miles of Milestone Management Solutions coming to speak - if you have any burning questions about limited companies, come along and put them to Tony. He's a local accountant and is a regular speaker on the networking circuit - well worth a listen.

This is your chance to have a say in how the branch will progress - post below if you have any suggestions or queries, or just to let me know you're coming!

Hi Kate,
I am also booked in for both the Derbyshire and Leicestershire meetings, and am really looking forward to meeting you and other bookkeepers. I qualified in April 2011 and I still haven't managed to attract any clients yet, so I've been feeling a bit isolated. It will be interesting to hear how others are getting on in the current economic climate, and maybe exchange some ideas!

Looking forward to meeting you, Louise - I know what you mean about feeling isolated, it can be a lonely job sometimes. It took a while for my business to take off too, so perhaps between us we can swap some ideas.
