DUE DILIGENCE ON WORK PROVIDERS

Hi all

I have just been offered some work for another ICB Bookkeeper working remotely.  Yey!!!

We had a due diligence talk recently at our monthly meeting and we were advised this has to be done both ways, both on the client and/or on the work provider as well.

What do I need to obtain to ensure I have carried this out correctly for a work provider?

I will be meeting up next week so I believe this can also be used as evidence but do I also need certified copy passport and driving licence?

You need to take with you a passport or driving licence and a utility bill or bank statement as proof of your address and the work provider should take the same assuming you are working with an individual. Both of you will need a copy of each other's documentation.

Certified copies are not required if you meet up.

You may also wish to see a copy of the work provider's Practice licence and Professional indemnity insurance
