PAYROLL AND STATUTORY PATERNITY PAY

Hi Everyone

This is driving me insane, I have recently done a Mock Exam in Payroll and just cant figure out one element:-

A gentlemen earns £62k per annum

He has two weeks Statutory Paternity Pay in the Month of April

He last working day is 15th April he then has two weeks off

I understand how to work out the Statutory Paternity Pay element which is £279.16

But how do i work out the element of his normal monthly pay?

I assume £62,000 divide by 52 weeks giving £1192.307 a week times this by two = £2384.61 then add the SSP

However the answer is £2782.05 plus SSP

PLEASE HELP Cry

Thanks in advance

Hi Mandy,

You are calculations give you the amount of pay he is not receiving, not what he is receiving.

Any help?

Dave
