Hi

My client is CIS registered and has just done some sub contract work for a contractor who believe they are CIS exempt and hold an exemption certificate.

I still have a little checking to do, but if this is correct, should we not be showing CIS on the invoice we send to them?

 I suspect that the contractor is exempt from being a sub-contractor. Not exempt from being a contractor that needs to account for CIS.

Check the exemption certificate.
