Iris in general, but the practice management element mostly

Good evening all.

Does anybody have any experience with Iris and in particular the practice management module? As our small practice is growing it is becoming increasingly obvious that we need a more solid system to manage the client base from.

Iris keeps coming up - is it the answer to all our prayers or just another software that over promises and under delivers? It’s got a hefty price tag too, so is it worth the investment?

i’d love To hear the unbiased opinions of people that have actually used it.

Many thanks in advance.

Mike

Sarah and Mike

A lot of accountants complain about Iris and the expense. I don,t use it but we do use Accountancy Manager as our practice management you should maybe take a look.

It is excellent/ if you contact them they will give you a trial and webinar to show the features.  Accounting Web has given it an award for best practice management software.

Hi Sarah,

Many thanks for the reply. We have looked at Accountancy Manager and agree it looks like a much better product. It appears to be much more modern and slick.

it still isn’t cheap (£39 per user per month which adds up quickly) but does seem like just what we are after.

Many thanks for the advice.

If anybody else has any comments or recommendations before we take the plunge, they would be gratefully received.

Best regards,

Mike

If like myself you have a small number of clients for whom you do many regular tasks I recommend Onkho.

It is £1 per client per month plus VAT and gives you workflow, crm, Companies House details etc.

Their website is https://www.onkho.com/ they onoly charge if you use the whole pacakge, the workflow side alone is free.

They are very proactive, if there is a feature that you think could do with being changed or added to make everyone's life easier you can contact them and they will seriously consider the change, there have already been a few changes that bookkeepers like myself have requested and they have done it.
