My main questions are, can you upload existing data from desktop to cloud based software plus can you have more than one user for Accounting?”
Hi.
I have recently moved four clients from Sage 50 or Essentials to Sage Cloud Business Accounting and I would say that you are unlikely to be able to migrate much data from the desktop version if they are VAT registered. For some reason it seems to stumble over the EC coding of clients and suppliers. If these have been set up correctly and every entry has gone through without trouble then maybe.
If you really need to transfer all your data then you can use Sage 360 Cloud, which is basically the desktop version with Microsoft add ons and which is MTD compliant. I have moved another Sage Essentials client to that. The price was about £20+VAT for her but I believe that is one user only.
With the cloud version other people can be invited to use but I'm not sure exactly what the limitations are.
The website isn't suitable for comparing from an actual user point of view but depending on how many clients you have they would probably be very happy to talk to you.
I hope that helps a little bit.
Best wishes.
