Hi Mike,
I'm not qualified either but now working on my exams (just started). I've been working in accounts for over 8 years now. I started in a big commercial company in a Client Admin role for a commercial finance company and moved on from there. Mention in your CV that you are working on your exams, it shows that you are ambitious and career driven. There are lots of jobs out there for the unqualified, and you have the upper hand because you are already studying off your own back :)
