Hi there.
I am a Bookkeeper with my own practise, for 7 years now. Outside of work I have been researching a WW1 project for the last two years which has been very successful in its findings and now I am contemplating creating a club or association for it.
It would be a not for profit org, or unincorporated, BUT, my questions are:
Can I head this to begin with? Am I allowed to take any of the Chairman, Secretary or Treasurer roles? What if it started to raise a small income? Has anyone had any experience with their group evolving and having to submit a company tax return? Is there a threshold before you have to register?
Sorry, lots of questions, but interested to know if anyone else out there has had similar situations?
