I currently work employeed and for the past couple of years we have paid an extortionate fee for an external company to handle our R&D claim. The type of environment that we work in is extremley well split as to what would fall under R&D and what wouldnt. We have provided all of the figures and all of the techincal information for the previous reports. The accounts keep on trying to scare monger stating that we dont want HMRC asking any questions however we have nothing to hide and have just had a vat inspection so honestly have nop problems if they wanted to ask questions.
Does anybody else deal with R&D either within your employment or seperately? How have you found the whole process?
