Looking for help with South East Kent Regional Meetings.

Hi I am a student studying level 2 & 3 in Bookkeeping with Training Link.

I would love to meet up with fellow students and qualified bookkeepers who like me are struggling to get to the London or Swanley meetings as they are quite far away.

I have contacted ICB and asked if there will ever be meetings in the South East and they suggested I put a shout out on this forum to ask for help!

I am looking for someone who is further on with their studies or a ICB qualified bookkeeper to volunteer as the Chair Person for a regional meeting in Whitstable Kent.

All that is needed from the Chair person (Volunteer) is to complete a form (of which I can provide all of the information) should take a maximum of 5 minutes to complete. The Chair Person will also be expected to be at the first meeting which will be held in Whitstable, Kent in the evening.

I cannot be the chair of the meeting as I am only a student and have only just passed A1.

Apart from that I am happy to do all the organising.  I have already found a venue in Whitstable Kent (near the train station and parking near by) and am looking into a guest speaker.  The ICB will take care of the marketing and ticket purchasing.

It is expected that if the first meeting has a good turn out then the ICB will allow more meetings to follow, possibly 4 times a year.  ICB have also informed me that there are over 200 members in this area so i am hoping to get a few of these members to come along to the first meeting.

If there is anyone who like me would like to meet up with like minded people and gain somefurther knowledge of the industry, then please can you reply to this post.

Many Thanks

Nikki Alexander
