Level 3 M8 Exam

Hi everyone,

Has anyone used any other study materials than the ICB textbooks and mock exams for the M8 exam?

I've used all of the Level 3 Textbooks for the individual exams, but there isn't a "summary" book as such for M8, so I don't feel like I have anymore resources to help me revise.

Thanks Smile

Hi,

M8 exam is revision of all topics froom M4 to M7 and could be some from level 2 too. Just take ICB Mock for practice. Passing marks for this exam is 70%.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards,

Hi,

Passed the M8 Mock yesterday and just going through and revising.

Can someone explain why the provision for doubtful debits is an asset in the chart of accounts?

I answered it as being a liability in the chart of accounts.

But in the mock exam i got this wrong, but i do not understand how the correct answer is saying it is an asset in the chart of accounts.

I am i miss understanding something or is the mock exam got this wrong.

Hi Des - I also made the same mistake. The only logic I can think of is that when you form the Balance Sheet, you show the Provision for Doubtful Debts as a deduction against the Debtors in the current assets section, as opposed to showing it seperately in the current liabilities.

Hope this helps :)

Hi Alouise,

Thankyou for your reply. Yes I understand what you mean, it is a credit reducing the debtors asset.

I sat my M8 live exam on Wednesday and passed, received my results on Thursday.

All the best for your exams.

Des.
