P45 sent in after year end processed

Good morning,

I have completed my payroll year end, isssues my P60's and submitted to HMRC. An employee who started with us on 15th March has just given me his P45 from his previous employment.

I have told him that the process has been completed and He will need to contact HMRC direct to let them know of the different figures for the tax year and then, if required they will re-issue me a new tax code.

 

Am I correct, or do I need to amend my Payroll softweare and resend the P60 and re-submit to HMRC?
