Hi, I'm very close to finishing the Level 3 qualification and considering my next steps. I know I'm going to apply for my practice licence and get started with that. However, I am considering studying a few of the L4 qualifications mainly SAT and corporation tax. I was just wondering if I pass the L4 SAT module can I then offer SATR to sole traders, partnerships and directors of small/micro ltd companies?? many thanks

Hi Emma,

I am answering your question from my own experiance, once you complete your level 3 you can apply for your practice licence.

Once you complete the level 4 self assessment, ICB add that to the services you can offer and you can offer self assesment services to clients.

I have completed the self assessment and i found it difficult, it is a lot to take in and takes a while to get through it. 

I am currently working through the level 4 finacial statements for small/micro companies as this is best completed before the corporation tax module.

All the best for completing your level 3 and getting your practice licence.

Thank you so much for your response I really appreciate the insight and advice. I was thinking the L4 modules might take a bit longer to complete and would be thorough - roughly how long did it take you to complete the L4 SA module?
