Payroll Software for one client

Afternoon All,

I have a new client who has only 2 people on her payroll and wants me to purely run payroll for her.  My other clients have their own payroll and pension software so its never been a problem for me.

Any ideas on a good, cost effective payroll system where I can run and submit payroll for just the 2 employees that isnt going to to break the bank.

It's obvioulsy more a service than a money maker but as you never know where a client can lead I would therefore like to provide the payroll service.

Thanks in advance for your help/ideas.

Hi Marie,

Both Moneysoft and Brightpay offer a license for just one employer at £82 and £79 respectively (per year).  I think Brightpay is the best payroll software out there by a country mile (I run payroll for around 125 businesses using it) so that's what I'd go with, but the price does jump up to £139 if you go over 3 employees, moneysoft is £82 for up to 20 employees and would be my second choice if I wasn't using Brightpay.

I don't think there's much out there that's fully functional for considerably less than that and either of these would be good if you decide to expand your payroll client base.

I'd also have to disagree that it's not a money maker, these are my favourite kind of clients; they're easy, fast and don't usually bombard you with queries and extra work!  If you decide you don't really want to do it though, I'd be happy to take them on Wink
