CIS payroll posting

Hi I have just started a new position with construction industry, wonder if anyone can help with the CIS paysoll postings.

I am familier with PAYE but not with CIS

 Are you using Sage or Xero?

 Are you using Sage or Xero?

 

In Xero, you will need to set them up as sub contractors. 

When you raise their invoices, you will have them under "CIS Labour Expense"

You can then add their earnings and the CIS deduction will be taken off as shown on the invoice. 

 

Click on "accounting" and then go to "CIS contractor"

Here you will find the monthly return to be submitted to HMRC
