I have been bookkeeping since late 2018. Prior to this I was managing a sports & uniform shop at one of the UK's top Public Schools.
It is fair to say that before 2016/17 I wouldn't have thought about bookkeeping as a career until my wife Lara started her own bookkeeping business. We thought it would be a good idea if I could understand what she was talking about of an evening :)
So I decided to have a look through her course books and found that I was enjoying the reading so decided to qualify so I could give her a hand when she was busy. It turned not only did I really enjoy bookkeeping but was actually pretty good at doing it. 5 years on we are partners in the business and have a decent size pool of clients.
