There are only two topics you would expect November’s Wages Wednesday to cover:
1. On 30 October 2024, Rachel Reeves became the first female Chancellor of the Exchequer to deliver a UK Budget. Speculation had been rife beforehand, Wages Wednesday gives Ian the opportunity to detail the facts as they affect bookkeepers and payroll professionals.
2. The UK Government has introduced the Employment Rights Bill in Great Britain. This promises HUGE changes for employers over the next few years, some of which are open for consultation now. Employment law changes impact policy, procedure and processes, so Ian will focus on the elements to watch for.
