Information

All bookkeepers are welcome to join this special webinar where ICB CEO Ami Copeland will interview Craig Ogilvie of HMRC about the impact of MTD.

Following a successful appearance at the ICB Bookkeepers Summit, Craig - the programme director for MTD – will share updates around dates, thresholds and the tech that every bookkeeper should be aware of as we approach April 2026.

As well as taking your questions directly, Ami will grill Craig on how HMRC are going to communicate these changes to the small businesses affected, what bookkeepers can do NOW to prepare and about the tools used to check and submit records.

Have you got a question you want Craig to answer? Submit your question and we'll ask it during the webinar!

MTD for Income Tax (MTDfIT) is set to begin in April 2026. This will initially apply to self-employed individuals and landlords with annual income above £50,000. These submissions are NOT full tax returns, so in many cases*, bookkeepers are able to submit on behalf of clients.

You don’t need to be a member to register – but you will need to set up an online account to book your place.

*You will need to be supervised so Full members of ICB (level 3 and above) are able to submit. But you do not need to have completed the ICB Self-Assessment module.
