Sage on MAC using Parallels

Hello

I am due to start my L2 computerised training next month using SAGE50 (via Woodgrove Tutorials - who have been fantastic so far for L1 & L2 manual).

Does anyone have any experience of setting up Sage on their MAC using parallels? I'm looking for an easy step by step guide of how to do it. I think I have to install parallels, then Windows (but which version is best!?) and then I can install Sage on the windows OS. Is it relatively straight forward? Does it work as well as if I ran Sage on a PC?

Any info would be gratefully received. Can't wait to get started on the computerised bit and get that little bit closer to Associate and starting my own practise! Smile

Thanks in advance!

 Hi Louisa

I run Sage 50 on mac using Parallels. It works fine no tweaks required.

Process:

1) Install Parallels - Just follows the Parallels guide

2) Install Windows - I am running Windows 8 no problem

3) Intsall sage in the windows of Parallels.

On Mac make sure you have at least 8gb Ram memory (or more if possible), don't buy from Apple buy from somewhere like crucial and install it yourself if possible.

It all works great - not a single issue. I also run Sage Payroll - no problem.

Good luck.
