Hi have had to VAT register.  I wanted to send out a letter to all my clients to inform them of this but can't seem to find the right way to put it.

I was wondering if anyone out there had to do the same and had a template that i could use.  I have tried to look on ICB website but can't find anything.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Michelle

Firstly congratulations on your success Laughing

I have found this thread on UkBusinessForums that almost fits your requirements if it helps (excl. the Ltd bit) and also hoping the link works!!

Hi Michelle

Congratulations on doing so well.   Can I suggest an idea which is more to do with customer service and not losing any clients.  I am also vat registered.

It will not make any difference to your clients who are vat registered as it will not cost them, but for all your clients that are not vat registered will see this as a 20% increase in their costs and fees from your business and may well look for new bookkeepers.

Can I suggest that you phone the clients on a personal note who are not vat registerd and explain to them their costs will be increasing and if they will not be able to manage it that you may find a compromise otherwise they may have to leave you which would be an unfortunate circumstance of your success.

I in fact rang all my clients and rang the accounts department if needed.

Either way ringing them is good for customer service.
