I've got a self assesment to do for a customer, which I will do on paper but they need a SA302 for mortgage purposes. Does anybody know how I go about getting one? From searching around online a lot of people say you can just request one by contacting HMRC. Is this correct or would it be easier and quicker if I did the return online?

Hi there,

If you are set up as the client's tax agent, then you can call HMRC on the agent line for SA and request an SA302.    Otherwise ask the client to call and request it.
