Does anyone have experience of using Sage 50 when integrated with Dragon 2000 (for the motor trade)? I am looking at this for the first time, it seems to operate a control account in Sage 50, I am reviewing entries for VAT and finding creates a lot of extra transaction lines on reports. I would appreciate any explanations anyone can share.

Hi Jude,

I don't know about Dragon 2000 but I work with a client in the motor trade who uses another bespoke package which also imports data to Sage and if there are 10 lines on the invoice there are 10 entires in Sage - even if they are all to the same nominal code in Sage.   The other company says that there is nothing they can do because Sage will only import transactions at the lowest level and it doesn't have the capability to summarize the transactions.  I think this is odd as Sage does it for invoices created within Sage.  We either have to grin and bear it or find some way to make Sage change their MO.  Speaking as a Sage user of long standing they are not likely to change their MO.  Why should they? They still have over 60% of the market.
