Software for a Used Car Dealer

I have just taken on a used car dealer as a new client.  I am wondering what software to use.  Dragon2000 appears to be an option but seems quite expensive.  www.easybookkeepingspreadsheets.co.uk appears to have a spreadsheet for used car dealers, has anybody used this and what do they think?  Just wondered what other bookkeepers use for clients in the motor trade.

Hi Diane,

I use Quickbooks desktop at moment but Quickbooks Online and most other packages can be used. Don't need anything specifically for car dealers. I just use journals to account for margin vat and keep a separate Stock Book in Excel.

Good luck with new client.

Dave

Many thanks for you response, I've gone with a separate Stock Book in Excel.
