Quickbooks Pro Advisor Sales

I have spent several hours now on the phone and online trying to get information about Quickbooks Pro Advisor program with Desktop Software.

I currently have most of my clients on Sage, a few on Xero and am considering moving a couple of the smaller ones who are currently on Excel and/or Sage to another package and was seriously considering Quickbooks as I used it in the past for my husband's books.

However after being passed from pillar to post on the phone for nearly 20 minutes I then got a Proadvisor salesperson who then said they would email me some information.  I have not received it so then tried to use the online chat facility without much success.

Does anyone on here have a contact they would not mind passing my details to for me to try to get some information regarding the packages.

I have now downloaded a trial version to assess but that does not help me get an idea on the support as so far the sales team have put me off the idea on the off chance the support is of the same quality.

Hi Pam

You could try the email address papuksupport@intuit.com

I'm still a desktop ProAdvisor (and pay £38 per month for it) but to be honest, QuickBooks are putting all of their resources into the Online Cloud ProAdvisor version now I think, and it's free to join that plus you get one online account for your own use.

It may work out cheaper for you to buy a QuickBooks Pro program, that you could use for your couple of clients, then also sign up as a ProAdvisor on the Cloud version. It really does have many advantages once you get used to using it.

As regards the support - I can't fault it. The Cloud ProAdvisor line phone number that we're given is always answered within a few rings (and I've used it looooooads of times) and the help you get is very good. It's UK people, they're knowledable and efficient. If they can't help, then they'll promise to get back to you after escalating your issue - and they actually DO get back to you :-)

The Desktop ProAdvisor line is the same, though I must admit, I haven't used this for about 6 months now, so don't know if that's changed, but I wouldn't have thought it would, otherwise they wouldn't still be charging me..........would they????

Have you tried the 0808 168 9537 phone number?

Hi Pam

Has Carol says, quickbooks do seem to be putting everyone in the cloud, but I have always found their support to be very good. i too am both a desktop and cloud proadvisor, but i must admit was a bit disgrumbled when i thought of stopping the desktop one to be told that i would lose access within 30days, maybe right away. They certaintly seem to be promoting the online more. In the past yes quickbooks ace and the support at the moment is still good, but it is changing every time you ring, the two are entirely separate, so you do feel a bit you are paying the £38 a month for a lot less than you used to get, as it doesnt count towards anything in the on'line version. Y not become an on-line proadvisor to see what you think. if their is an event near you, go to it.

Kind regards and very best wishes

I beleive this is because of their change of subscription rules.........this is on the download page...

Note: As you may recall, if your current subscription started prior to 14.11.2014, we sent you an email in January 2015 to notify you that the terms and conditions of your subscription were changing. Broadly, these changes mean that you don’t own future versions starting with QuickBooks 2016, the only exception being for some annual ProAdvisor subscribers for which changes apply from the next version of QuickBooks. Whilst the copy of QuickBooks which is supplied with your subscription is now rented rather than owned you can continue to use it as long as the subscription continues. If a subscription is terminated going forward the software will, after a short period of time, stop working. Please read the End User License for more information, which you agree as you install the product.

It's clear that, from this and from my recent experience that QB Desktop is being phased out and that the appalling (or non-existent) support for the desktop version is merely one way of getting people to migrate to the online version. Is anyone else having problems with QB desktop support? (Not that it was ever that great IMHO).

 Hi,

I'm considering just buying a licence and stopping the £32 per month
