ICB is sponsoring an event in collaboration with PQ Magazine and London South Bank University
Following the success of its inaugural conference, PQ magazine is once again joining forces with London South Bank University to put on a one-day conference on Wednesday 28 November 2018 from 9am - 7pm.
This year’s theme is ‘The Dark Side of Accountancy – ethical dilemmas and sustainability challenges’, and ICB is proud to be a key sponsor. ICB's Head of AML Directorate Stephen Hardwick will be speaking on the Money Laundering Panel between 12pm and 1pm. Stephen is a former police officer with more than 26 years' service in West Yorkshire CID, tackling crimes such as drugs trafficking, corruption and other serious crime. He then moved on to specialise in economic crime, fraud and money laundering.
The conference was sold out last year and will have three streams running through the day, where you can again mix and match the subjects that interest you most. There will a 'The Future is Here’ panel looking at the rise of the robots, money laundering and blockchain. Our ‘Good Governance The Key’ stream will look at corporate governance, integrated reporting and ask the question: Does the FRC have a future?
Finally, we have revised the ‘Own Your Career’ stream. This will be an interactive CV building workshop. We will also be looking at personal branding and there will be a 'Meet the Employers’ session.
The day will end with a discussion to see if the Dark Side is winning!
