The Oscars of the bookkeeping world came back in full swing this year, and it was bigger and better than ever! 2021 was extra special as we celebrated ICB’s 25th Anniversary. The glamorous ceremony took place at the Londoner Hotel, Leicester Square on Monday 1st November 2021 and we were delighted that we even had ICB bookkeepers from Ukraine able to join us to celebrate.

2021 saw a 400% increase in apprenticeship end-point assessments and there was a 34% increase in Level 4 exam attempts! All in all, ICB students completed 12,023 exams and mocks this year.

More and more qualified professionals chose ICB for membership

248 people with prior experience or qualifications applied to join ICB by exemption this year. 4.4% of them found out about us through an ICB member, so don’t forget to recommend us to your network and support ICB in growing its reputation and membership intake.

Mike Jardine was promoted to Director of Compliance and we welcomed two new intelligence officers Nicky Bradley and Andy Roberts.  

2021 also saw us bringing to the team our new Director of Professional Standards, former ICB practising member and Advisory Council member, Lucy Brown FICB. 

Together our enhanced team has raised the profile of professional standards and AML and you’ve responded with incredible engagement, making the compliance sessions at the Inspire Tour and Bookkeepers Summit some of the most-watched of all time. We’re confident that by continuing to work together with you, our compliance team will see a consistent rise in compliant findings on inspections.
