ICB is pleased to announce the appointment of Vanessa Aradia as our new Head of Learning & Development.
Vanessa brings a rare mix of experience across bookkeeping, payroll, accountancy, education and professional training. She has supported people at every stage of their journey, from first qualification to running confident, sustainable practices, and understands both the technical and human sides of building a career in the profession.
Starting out as a school leaver on an apprenticeship, Vanessa worked her way through practice, industry and the public sector. Alongside her career, she raised three children and ran her own practice, giving her first-hand insight into balancing work, learning and family life.
She has also spent many years teaching in further education and apprenticeship settings, helping learners turn knowledge into real workplace confidence. More recently, Vanessa has worked in the technology sector, supporting bookkeeping and payroll services delivered through software and managed service models, with teams based across different locations.
Known for making learning practical, relatable and grounded in real work, Vanessa is passionate about helping professionals build confidence, judgement and strong client relationships as the profession continues to change.
Vanessa said:
“The profession is evolving quickly, but human insight, ethics and trust remain at its heart. My focus at ICB is on learning that feels relevant, practical and empowering, so members can use change as an opportunity to grow with confidence and pride.”
We are excited to have Vanessa on board and look forward to the impact she will have on the future of ICB learning.
