ICB has teamed up with Journey to launch a new partnership built on collaboration, communication and shared ambition.

This is a two-way relationship between emerging tech and the bookkeeping community it serves - giving bookkeepers more influence over the tools they use, while helping software providers create better products with real insight from professionals on the ground.

At ICB, we support professional bookkeepers with the tools, standards and influence they need to thrive. Our partnership with Journey builds on that commitment by helping to ensure that the software bookkeepers rely on is shaped by their real-world experience.

“This partnership is all about bringing the right people together. Bookkeepers have always been at the forefront of software adoption. We’re proud to partner with Journey to help software vendors raise the bar in bookkeeping tech.”
– Ami Copeland, CEO ICB

Bookkeepers are often the first to embrace new tools. This partnership gives them a stronger voice in how those tools are built and improved.

Journey works with many of the world’s top accounting and bookkeeping apps, helping them grow and adapt to new markets. Together, we’re creating more opportunities for developers and bookkeepers to connect directly and shape the future of bookkeeping software.

“Bookkeepers can often be overlooked in the world of accounting technology. It’s time they had more influence on how the tools they use every day are shaped. This partnership helps make that happen.”
– Jordan Vickery, Global Director and Head of EMEA, Journey

What’s Happening

1. The Bookkeepers Tech Advisory Board
We’ve launched a new Advisory Board made up of experienced ICB members who meet quarterly to discuss how technology is changing their work and what they need from future tools.

Journey’s clients will benefit from early insights and expert feedback, helping them create software that works better for bookkeepers. We’ll also share key findings and recommendations with our wider community.

2. Research and Focus Groups for Developers
Software providers building for the UK bookkeeping market can now connect directly with our members. Through focus groups and one-to-one interviews, we’ll help developers explore new ideas, test concepts and refine existing products.

These sessions offer valuable insight into the needs and challenges of modern bookkeepers.

3. Helping Bookkeepers Make Smart Tech Choices
We’ll be highlighting practical, trusted tools that save time, support compliance and improve client service. Webinars, joint sessions and other events will help members stay informed and confident in their software choices.

At the same time, quality software vendors will gain access to the right audience at the right time.

We’re proud to be working with Journey and continuing to champion bookkeepers as leaders in accounting technology.
