ICB is delighted to announce that ICB non-executive director, Professor Mark Watson-Gandy, has been awarded an OBE in the New Years Honours List.
Professor Watson-Gandy was responsible for devising the original ICB Professional Conduct Regulations and acted as ICB Head of Professional Standards until stepping down from his voluntary role in 2000. He was welcomed back to the ICB main Board as a non-executive director in March 2022.
A Barrister at 3 Stone Chambers, Professor Watson-Gandy specialises in commercial disputes, banking, and company Law. He is a published author and contributes technical articles to several leading journals. He is visiting professor at the University of Westminster and founder of KidsMBA.
Commenting on the honour, ICB co-founders, Garry and June Carter, said “We congratulate Mark on his prestigious and much deserved honour. He has been a tireless ambassador for ICB since its inception. He also supports a wide range of other business and professional organisations. His campaign to introduce young people to business and entrepreneurship culminated in the founding of The KidsMBA, which is very highly regarded and is now operating in more than forty countries across the world”.
