Clare is the co-owner of Kendall Richardson LLP

After completing her A-Levels, Clare obtained ACCA qualifications. However, after noticing a gap in the market, she and her colleague decided to become ICB Bookkeepers. Clare and Lynsey Kendall MICB PM.Dip now run Kendall Richardson LLP.

Clare is keen to grow the practice and as such, has been doing lots of networking. She cites it as an invaluable way to meet clients and identify their needs, as well as building relationships. She particularly enjoys preparing management accounts for clients, so they can see how their businesses are performing on a real-time basis.

With Making Tax Digital coming into effect, Clare is confident that the role of the bookkeeper will become even more important to businesses of all sizes.

One piece of advice Clare would give to future women entrepreneurs is,

“It is tough in the beginning but stick with it! It is so rewarding to follow your dreams and it will all work out the in end!”
