HMRC have announced two webinars on MTD IT, taking place in August.

Getting Ready For MTD IT as an Agent

This is a recorded webinar is promoted by HMRC to help you understand the requirements of MTD IT and the practical steps you can take to prepare your practise and clients.  It covers the following topics: 

  • Planning (understanding the rules and work out who will be affected and when);
  • Preparing (work out who will do what and make informed software choices);
  • Act (updating the Agent Services Account so you can sign up your client); and
  • Using MTD IT (following the rules and consider how to utilise any benefits and opportunities)

This requires registration and you will be sent a link to the recording afterwards.

MTD - Client Authorisation and Enrolment

This live webinar will help you understand how to sign clients up to MTD IT and the practical steps you can take to prepare your practise and clients.  It is being held on Friday 15 August 2025 between 9:45 and 10:45am and covers the following:

  • Planning for MTD – understand the rules and work out who will be affected and when;
  • Preparing for MTD – work out who will do what and make informed software choices;
  • Taking MTD action  - update the agent services account and sign up your client; and
  • Using MTD – follow the rules and consider how to utilise any benefits and opportunities

This requires registration.
