Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping
Details

This is the best place to start your professional bookkeeping journey. You'll gain a full understanding of the concepts of double entry bookkeeping and its place in modern business. You'll learn how to enter transactions, produce an initial trial balance, identify and correct errors, and reconcile sales & purchases ledger balances.

Achieve Associate Membership
If you successfully complete this qualification you can apply to become an Associate Member and achieve AICB status as a professional bookkeeper

Level 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping 

Details

Once you have successfully completed Level 2, you can progress to this Level 3 qualification. Learn how to produce a VAT Return, control the sales and purchases ledgers, post year-end adjustments and produce the internal year-end final accounts for sole traders, partnerships, not-for-profit organisations and Limited Companies and LLPs. You'll understand the basics of the various accounting standards (IFRS and UKGAAP).

Achieve full Membership and start your own business
If you successfully complete this qualification you can apply to become a full Member and achieve MICB status as a Certified Bookkeeper. As a Member you can apply for a Practice Licence and set up your own bookkeeping business.

Level 2 Certificate in Payroll Administration

Details This is a great place to start if you're new to payroll and have little or no previous knowledge or experience. As this qualification isn't mandatory, you may choose to skip it and start at the Level 3 Diploma in Payroll Management. Successful candidates will be able to carry out the role of a Payroll Assistant or Payroll Clerk and will be able to demonstrate a good basic understanding of payroll services and running basic payroll calculations.

Details

Riverside Training Spalding  Apprentice of the Year

 

 

We have a long history of delivering education and training in the Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire regions. Our new accountancy training department is staffed by some of the region’s most successful tutors. We are offering: 

  • The ICB Assistant Accountant Level 3 Apprenticeship. This provides a funded route into a bookkeeping career, professional ICB membership, and higher accountancy qualifications. 
  • The ICB Level 3 in Payroll Management course

Age is no longer a barrier to becoming an apprentice and there is no time limit to complete the ICB apprenticeship programme. Apprentices have access to study materials, computer-based assessments, and ICB's online network of students. Smaller businesses looking to employ an apprentice can get up to 90% of training costs paid by the government for new recruits or existing staff, and further funding is available in some instances.

Our courses are:

  • Classroom-based – formal teaching environment
  • Workplace – where our tutors visit your workplace and train on site. This is extremely popular with senior and mature employees.
