The 12th Annual LUCA Awards took place at the Londoner Hotel, Leicester Square on Monday 1st November 2021.
The evening also celebrated ICB’s 25th Anniversary. The institute was founded by Garry and June Carter on 1st November 1996 with the support of the then small business minister. Seema Malhotra MP, shadow minister for BEIS Seema Malhotra spoke at the event praising the work of ICB and all bookkeepers who helped businesses thrive and stay on top of their accounts during the pandemic.
Before announcing the main prizewinners, ICB conferred 25 Companionship of ICB awards on beneficiaries including Xero UK’s Gary Turner, Rebecca Benneyworth, Della Hudson and even Eddie Izzard and Sir Mick Jagger, though the last two were sadly not in attendance.
