Hi everyone,

It's Baffour Akoto here. So after 6 years in employment I have decided to take a crack at setting up a practice, Baff's Accounting Solutions in Wimbedon.

It's been an eye opener so far, ploughing on nonetheless. Say hi if you're in the area and if there are any that are heavy ladden and would like some help with the books or have some clients you want to pass off give us a shout @baffsaccounting.com. Anything from day to day Bookkeeping, Payroll, Pensions, Management Accounts.

QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Xero Certified Advisor, Sage Payroll and decent on the old Excel as well.

Thanks Ami, I appreciate your advise and will attend more branch meetings than the couple a year I attend currently and network more. My view is that posting on the forum is also an avenue to network and reach out, I do take your points on the branch meetings and the summit.

Kind regards

Hi Baffour,

Welcome to the wonderful world of practice! Are you attending your local branch meetings? I'd also recommend you attend this year's Bookkeepers Summit on 25 and 26 November. It's a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the profession and extend your professional network.

The Bookkeepers Summit is really friendly and fun. Not only do you get to attend a handful of 45-minute CPD workshops on everything from Tax in 2020 through to Anti-Money Laundering and Wellness, you also get to meet other members at the Regional Huddle, Members Panel, opening drinks and Luca Awards and after party.

We also have stimulating keynotes about the future of bookkeeping and practice development. Find out how to start, systematise and scale a bookkeeping business!

I hope to see you there and wish you the best of luck with your practice!

Ami
