Hello everybody.
I was wondering if anybody else was having problems trying to take an online exam. I'm trying to take my L3 computerised bookkeeping exam, but when I click on the link to load up the exam, it won't display. I've tried using both Internet Explorer and Chrome, but neither one will load it up.
I would phone the ICB to ask them, but they aren't open on a weekend. It's really quite frustrating... I guess the only option is to keep trying and pray it works, unless anybody has any tips if the same thing has happened to them. Any thoughts, hints, tips or advice at this stage would be much appreciated!

I would suggest you try clearing your browsing data as a first step, in Chrome you click the 3 lines top right, more tools, clear browing data, should then give you the option to clear, should have the first 4 checked, I would then close chrome and open it back up again, or even possibly re-boot your pc.

I am also having the same problem, I spoke to ICB on Friday, they did check there end and said it was ok. They asked me to send a screen shot, which i have done, but it was quite late on on Friday afternoon so i am hoping things can get sorted on Monday.

Thank you for replying. I have tried what you suggested, but it still says the website cannot be displayed. I do suspect it may be a problem with the exam system not working, as I can log into the ICB website. It seems to be the actual exam that won't load up. I'll keep trying, and hope the glitch in the system gets fixed soon!

Thank you for replying. I can log into ICB and open up the Assessments Waiting to be Taken page. It's the link to the exam log in screen that won't work for me. If it won't work over the weekend, I'll phone ICB on Monday I think.

Hi Sam
Same here and not very impressed because if the ICB knew about possible issues on Friday (regardless of how late they were told) then why haven't they put anything up on the website to suggest that there may be a problem? I've just paid for this mock as I have my exam on Tuesday and wanted to get a feel for it. Now, it seems, I can't and have wasted £10 for the privilege. I can't open in Chrome or Firefox so there is obviously a problem somewhere.

On Friday, I was logged on the website but at some point in the afternoon, no matter what page I tried to view there was message saying "Oops! Something is wrong" (or words to that affect) and that they had been made aware of it. I'm not sure how long the website was off air but was able to use it later on.
It sounds like your problem with the exams may be as a result of this.

ICB - You can get applications that check web server availability & functionality (very specifically with scripts) and if down - will send an SMS message to the on call IT support staff !!
Just an idea ... if people give up their weekend to take exams - the systems should be available or at least informed if not !!

Good Morning,
I have also had issues with logging on to take an online exam this morning. I have emailed the ICB. Not a great start to my Sunday!
At least I can now see its not just me having the same issues as others posting to the forum.
I am having exactly the issues that other members have flagged up in this forum.
Fingers crossed for a quick resolution in the morning!

This seems to be an intermitant problem - or maybe just affects a part of the website.
I was able to do my online exam yesterday without a problem and also was able to log in to the exam and upload the computerised part yesterday.
Perhaps it might be worth trying to login until you get access.

Me too - Haven't been able to get into the system all weekend, and with school holidays looming next week it's so frustrating. I've emailed them and asked them to extend the exam deadline by the extra days system has been down.
Very surprised they have left it over the weekend, when members raised the issue with them on Friday!?!

I thought it was just me.... but I also get the same message as above when I try to open any pages from the newsletter. I have been trying to access a mock for my students, so gues this is a general problem

I'm having problems accessing the B3 exam also today. I didn't get an email to say it was available but thought I would check anyway and it is there but keeps coming up saying page is not available. Oh well a wee day off now what will I do with my Sunday
