Do you want to put your opinions forward and contribute to improving the quality of ICB and its services? Have you got any inspiring and innovative ideas that you think will enhance the ICB bookkeeping community? Then this is your opportunity. Nominations are open for the ICB Advisory Council, offering you the chance to have an active involvement in ICB and the service it offers to members.

“Joining the Advisory Council gives members a unique opportunity to have a real impact on how ICB develops policy and moves forward as an organisation. Anyone who would like to represent their region, give something back to the Institute and become more involved, should seriously consider standing for election.

Paula Veysey Smith, Advisory Council Chair

The purpose of the ICB Advisory Council is to provide informed advice and independent support to the ICB Executive and to identify and clarify standards.  Advisory Council meetings provide a forum for open debate and authoritative questioning. Members are expected to apply their individual background, experience and judgement to the questions considered, thus ensuring that a wealth of knowledge is used in the decision-making process of the organisation. This actively contributes to improving the quality and integrity of ICB.

All ICB Associate Members, Members and Fellows of at least two years' good standing can apply online using the LUCA Awards nominations platform, Awards Force, during the month of August.

Apply online before 31 August:

Voting on the shortlist will open to ICB students and members from September, with the new Advisory Council formally announced on 7 November 2022 at the Bookkeepers Summit.
