Training

 On-the-job learning at the employer's normal place of work. Whilst working, the apprentice develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours of an Assistant Accountant

20% off-the-job training and mandated qualification

Gateway

The employer, training provider and apprentice meet to review progress and decide
if the apprentice is ready for End-Point Assessment

End-Point Assessment (EPA)

The EPA consists of two assessments which ICB delivers
on demand

Knowledge Assessment

Portfolio discussion

150 minutes open book computer-based test comprising 40 multiple choice questions


One-to-one interview discussing the evidence of the apprentice's work submitted in their portfolio 

e.g. Via Zoom


Upon successful completion of the EPA, the apprentice is awarded the

Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship

and 
can apply to join ICB as an Associate Member (AICB)
with a fast track route to full Member (MICB)
after just one further ICB bridging exam.
